The Just Wed Take On...

On The Road Again...

The current crisis in the Middle East is touching every corner of the earth... including our little patch of heaven right here in central west NSW.

Fuel is skyrocketing in price, and I'm sure I'm not the only one glancing at the price boards outside service stations as I travel past to see how much the price has moved overnight.

I just wanted to reassure my existing clients that my fees won't rise to absorb increased travel costs. If you've completed a booking form and I've quoted you a set price, it will remain at that price.

For prospective clients, depending on location, travel fees may apply but these will be quoted to you in the first instance. Generally, ceremony locations in and around Dubbo don't incur a travel fee. If you wanted me to travel to Orange, or Parkes or Nyngan, however, there would be a travel fee.

Travel is one of the reasons why I've set my base service range to Dubbo and nearby surrounding communities. I am not keen to spend hours of my time travelling long distances to marry people. I've been there and done that over 21 years as a celebrant, and I'm not up for that anymore. However, there are a couple of other important reasons, too.

Firstly, there are wonderful celebrants in many communities farther afield who'd love to marry you in their local areas, and they won't charge travel fees. I firmly believe in the concept of "buy local" and supporting local small businesses where possible. So, there's that. But there's also the fact that my business is about providing ceremonies for people who don't want to go to a lot of fuss - or great expense - to get married. It may cost more than the ceremony price to travel long distances, and I'm all for saving my clients' money.

I'm always happy to discuss travel with my clients and prospective clients. Feel free to DM or email me if you have any questions.
