Couples often ask if it's possible to marry without saying much at all. The short answer is: yes, you can. It's not generally understood that the legal words that marry couples - a passage from the Marriage Act 1961 that the celebrant says, and the legally required marriage vows spoken by the couple - can actually be said in about 90 seconds. That's right, folks. About 90 seconds. The rings, the kiss, all the rest of what my late uncle called "the guff" - none of this is a legal requirement in an Australian marriage ceremony. If you've been to a 30-minute wedding recently boasting an elaborate love story, every reading and ritual known to humankind, and loads of other extras, these are all "optional extras". Some people want the bare-bones legals while others prefer something more elaborate built up around that. Both are possible in our Just Wed 'n Go ceremony and you can still have a beautiful ceremony without taking up all of your time.
