The end of the year is fast approaching and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful couples who have engaged my business, Just Wed, to help them marry.

I'm now 21 years into this business and every ceremony is unique and special. 

I'm not a full-time celebrant and it's not in my plan to become one until I retire within the next 15 years. I love writing and my day job - journalism - too much to give that game away just yet.

Celebrancy has allowed me to explore writing in different ways, and I've discovered many more poets and writers through the course of sourcing quotes and readings for ceremonies. I remain grateful for all the knowledge I've gained over the years. 

It remains a great honour to help couples marry and I'm glad I have focused on this particular niche within the industry. Everyone has a different journey when they want to marry, and I'm here for those who want to do so quickly, simply and without fuss. 

Wishing you all a safe and content time as the end of the year approaches. I know it's not a great time for some people, and with cost of living pressures adding more stress every day, I am mindful of this in how I conduct my business. My prices are set for 2026 and won't be rising, so that is some good news for those on a tight budget.
